Tata launches Grande MK II

With the launch of utility vehicle Grande MK II, an upgraded version of its premium Sumo Grande, Tata Motors is looking to increase its market share by 2-3 per cent in the utility segment. Commenting on the features of Grande MK II Saksena said it sought to deliver added value to customers through substantial changes in the exteriors and interiors combined with improvements in drivability, ride and handling and comfort. He said several ergonomics improvements had been made in the Grande MK II that included smaller steering wheel with floating horns, a grab handle on the ‘C’ pillar to aid egress of third row passengers, and new inner door handles. The SUV would be available in 3 variants Gx, Ex, and Lx with a seating capacity ranging between 7 and 9 seats in front and side facing configurations.
