Pre-market: Bias still negative

The markets are likely to open on a flat note this morning on the back of mixed global cues. The indices yesterday attempted a pullback but eventually ended with marginal gains as selling pressure persisted on every rise. The bias is still negative as the Sensex has closed below its recent support of 16,925-16,940. Today, the index may seek support around yesterday"s low below which the index is mostly likely to target 16,200 in the coming days. On the up side the index will face resistance around 17,000-17,050.
