Kronos in talks with Gujarat firms for workforce management

While other workforce management vendors are providing customers with a static map of their labor landscape, Kronos is more like a GPS navigation system, providing guidance on how to avoid potential problems; enabling users to adjust as circumstances change; and guiding users to the best possible destination." Already, Kronos caters to workforce management solution needs of Bombardier Transportation, at its Savli facility near Vadodara in Gujarat. "We are speaking to lot of firms in Gujarat for our next generation solutions in workforce management. We are especially looking at sectors in manufacturing, pharma, ports and logistics," said James Thomas, country manager, Kronos India. For Bombardier Transportation, Kronos enables automation various processes such as time and attendance and shop floor labor data collection. Commenting further, Ain said, “The Indian market represents a tremendous opportunity for workforce management solutions. As the worldwide market leader, we are best poised to service this requirement. We have experienced stupendous traction in terms of our sales operations in India. As a result, Kronos India is expanding its ecosystem in India in the coming year. To accommodate its planned growth, Kronos has moved its India operation to a new location in Bangalore. Apart from the key strategic technology partnerships with Microsoft, IBM and with leading system integrators, Kronos is exploring partnerships for strategic tie ups in the human capital management space as well as software distribution and service delivery channels for covering the length and breadth of India.
