NHAI against staff inclusion in cadre
The strengthening of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) by creating its own cadre has been delayed further, as its board has rejected a proposal to absorb 50 per cent of the existing staff into its own cadre. The authority currently has only around 10 per cent of the present staff as permanent employees and the rest are on deputation.

Gold futures trade low on reduced offtake

Gold futures prices traded lower by 0.27 per cent today on reduced offtake at existing higher levels. - Silver futures extend gains on global cues, spot demand - Gold touches new high of Rs 16,120 - It"s discount season in jewellery mart - Gold at Rs 50 discount on weaker dollar - The pound without a G-string - Sooner or later At the MCX, gold for December contract fell by 0.27 per cent to Rs 15,999 per ten gram with an open interest in 13,883 lots.Similarly, gold for delivery in February contract lost 0.23 per cent at Rs 16,007 per gram with an open interest in 1,619 lots. Marketmen said reduced offtake at existing higher levels led to fall in gold prices at futures market.
