GSK arm resumes Andhra operations

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare(GSKCH) has resumed operations at its plant in Dowlaiswaram, Andhra Pradesh, the company said in a statement posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday. GSK said on December 11 it was reviewing the situation in the state and business would not be hampered on account of the shutdown. The Andhra plant employs 800 people and contributes 25 per cent to the firm’s capacity in nutritional products.
